Finance minister Arun Jaitley addressed the press on Wednesday, a day after the government announced to infuse Rs 2.11 lakh crore in PSU banks claiming it a “significant credit positive” to l help address the problem of weak capitalisation.
The press conference comes the day the Election Commission announced 2-phase election in Gujarat -- December 9 and December 14.
The finance minister said the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party will celebrate anti-black money day on November 8 to mark the one year of the Union government’s demonetisation drive. The Congress and other opposition parties have announced to observe ‘black day’ to protest the note ban announcement across states.
