Bihar election results LIVE: Despite being jailed in a murder case, JDU candidate Anant Kumar Singh is leading by over 28,000 votes in the Mokama Assembly constituency.

Anant Kumar Singh was arrested days after Jan Suraaj supporter Dularchand Yadav was killed during firing between rival groups while campaigning in Mokama. Yadav's nephew Piyush Priyadarshi was JSP's candidate from Mokama and is currently trailing on the third place, as per ECI data.

Bihar election results LIVE: Data shared by the ECI at 3 pm continued to show trends favouring the ruling NDA, with the BJP leading on 92 seats, the JDU in 83 and Chirag Paswan on 20 of the 29 seats it contested.

Meanwhile, the Mahagathbandhan continued to trail, with the RJD leading on only 26 seats and Congress on only four seats.

Bihar election results LIVE: Even as trends indicate a big win for the ruling NDA, RJD MP Manoj Jha remains hopeful that the mandate could change. “There's also a psychological game going on. We found that in more than 65-70 seats, the margin is less than 3000-5000 votes, and we are sure that the situation can change in those seats... The vote count is extremely slow... This is just an initial trend; we have seen such trends change by the end…,” he told the media.

Bihar results LIVE: Reacting to trends indicating a major victory for the ruling NDA in Bihar, Congress leader Bhupesh Baghel weighed in, launching a sharp attack on Chief Election Commissioner Gyanesh Kumar.

"One person is responsible for this result- Gyanesh Kumar. I congratulate him. 65 lakh votes were deleted, and 21 lakh voters were added. This magic has been done by Gyanesh Kumar... Gyanesh Kumar has made all the efforts alone. Congratulations to him...," he told news agency ANI.

Bihar results LIVE: RJD candidate Tejashwi Yadav is now trailing by nearly 5,000 votes in the Raghopur seat, against the same candidate he defeated twice in 2015 and 2020.

BJP candidate Satish Kumar Yadav, who had been defeated twice earlier by Tejashwi, was fielded against him again, and ECI data now shows him leading on the same seat.

Bihar results LIVE: BJP candidate Awadhesh Singh is leading in the Hajipur seat, otherwise considered a stronghold of Chirag Paswan's LJP. However, this was not among the 29 seats Paswan's party fielded candidates on as part of the seat-sharing deal within the NDA.

Hajipur went to the BJP in the seats break-up. Notably, Chirag Paswan won the 2024 Lok Sabha elections from the Hajipur parliamentary constituency.

Bihar results LIVE: BJP candidate Maithili Thakur, who is making her electoral debut from Alinagar, is leading from the seat by over 9,000 votes, and RJD's Binod Mishra is trailing behind, as per ECI data after 13 rounds of counting.

Her lead had briefly narrowed earlier but has now picked up pace.

Bihar results LIVE: Congress MP Shashi Tharoor reacted to trends showing the NDA inching towards breaching the 200-mark in Bihar, as the Mahagathbandhan trails behind.

The Congress leader called for some introspection and said that the result would be “disappointing” if the NDA won. “It's obviously seriously disappointing, and if that turns out to be the final result, then I think there will have to be some very serious introspection, and I don't just mean introspection, sitting and thinking, but also studying what went wrong, what were the tactical, messaging or organisational mistakes,” Tharoor said.

Bihar results LIVE: RJD leader and Mahagathbandhan's chief ministerial face Tejashwi Yadav was trailing against his next rival - BJP candidate Satish Kumar - by over 3,000 votes after 10 of 30 rounds of counting, according to the Election Commission of India (ECI).

Bihar results LIVE: Actor-singer Pawan Singh had earlier sparked speculation about his Bihar contest, after a meeting with Home Minister Amit Shah. He had unsuccessfully contested the 2024 Lok Sabha election as an Independent from the Karakat seat, and was expected to contest from its Vidhan Sabha constituency in the Bihar Assembly elections 2025.

However, he denied all speculation ahead of the elections and didn't contest the polls. Currently, CPI(M) candidate Arun Singh is leading on the Karakat seat by over 2,200 votes.

Bihar results LIVE: RJD candidate and singer Shatrughan Yadav, popularly known as Khesari Lal, is still trailing from Chapra, behind BJP's Chhoti Kumari who is ahead of him by over 2,000 votes.

Bihar election results LIVE: After ECI trends showed the Opposition Mahagathbandhan trailing, a social media influencer dressed up as RJD patriarch Lalu Yadav and carried an Arrow (JDU symbol) and Lantern (RJD symbol) to the BJP HQ.

"I belong to Vaishali in Bihar. We have seen the era when there was 'Lalten Sarkar' there. The development that has taken place there - there is a vast difference between then and now...People of Bihar have voted for development...Mahagathbandhan's ideology is anti-Sanatana. So, our ideology doesn't align with them...," he said.

Bihar results LIVE:Bihar deputy chief ministers Vijay Sinha and Samrat Chaudhary are leading from their respective constituencies in Bihar, as per ECI data. Vijay Sinha is leading in Lakhisarai by over 10,000 votes, and Samrat Chaudhary is leading in Tarapur by over 12,000 votes.

Bihar election results LIVE: Uddhav Sena leader Sanjay Raut attacked the BJP and the Election Commission of India (ECI) as trends showed the NDA heading towards a massive win in Bihar. “Looking at the national agenda being carried out hand-in-hand by the Election Commission and BJP, a different outcome than this was simply not possible! A complete Maharashtra pattern! Those who were certain to come to power were wiped out within 50,” Raut said in a tweet in Marathi.

Bihar election results LIVE: While BJP candidate Maithili Thakur is still leading in the Alinagar constituency, her lead is significantly lowered. She was earlier leading by over 8,000 votes but the margin has now lowered to just 4,000 votes, as per ECI data. Her rival and RJD candidate Binod Mishra is still trailing, but now with a lower margin.
