Bihar results highlights: NDA bags 202 seats, Rahul ‘truly surprised' by verdict

Speaking at the BJP HQ in Delhi, party chief JP Nadda thanked PM Modi "on behalf of crores of party workers for the NDA win in the Bihar assembly elections".

BJP national president JP Nadda said that the NDA's landslide victory in the 2025 Bihar assembly elections is the result of the state's people's “love and trust” toward Prime Minister Narendra Modi.

After making a stunning comeback from a constant journey of trails, RJD leader Tejashwi Yadav has won the Raghopur seat by a margin of over 14,000 votes.

Addressing the victory celebrations at the BJP headquarters in Delhi, party national president JP Nadda hailed Prime Minister Narendra Modi's leadership and said that the people of Bihar have shown “immense faith” in the PM.

Prime Minister Narendra Modi received a glorious welcome filled with ‘Modi, Modi’ chants at the Bharatiya Janata Party as the BJP-JD(U)-led NDA is headed toward a landslide victory.

As the All India Majlis-E-Ittehadul Muslimeen (AIMIM) has won four seats and is leading in another, AIMIM chief Asaduddin Owaisi expressed his gratefulness to the people of Bihar and also thanked chief minister Nitish Kumar.

"I want to thank the people of Bihar for voting for AIMIM. I also want to thank and congratulate all the candidates and party members on those 5 seats for working so hard... We accept the mandate of the people of Bihar. I also want to thank CM Nitish Kumar," he said in a press conference.

Owaisi further said, "We will work for the welfare of Seemanchal... I had always said that RJD cannot stop BJP. People of Bihar were misled on the M-Y combination, and I want to appeal to them not to vote for these fascist forces."

As the NDA is headed toward a landslide victory in the 2025 Bihar assembly elections, Prime Minister Narendra Modi has reached the BJP headquarters in Delhi to celebrate the alliance's achievement.

As of 6:45 pm, the Election Commission data suggests that the Bharatiya Janata Party has won the maximum number of seats: 55.

Speaking to reporters in Patna on the Rashtriya Janata Dal's performance in the 2025 Bihar assembly elections, party leader Abdul Bari Siddiqui said, "Tomorrow we will sit together and discuss what went wrong, and then we will tell you."

Bihar election results LIVE: Lalu Yadav's son Tej Pratap Yadav has lost the Mahua seat. After briefly leading in very early trends, Tej Pratap trailed for hours in the seat, behind LJP's Sanjay Kumar Singh and RJD's Mukesh Kumar Raushan.

The LJP candidate won the seat by a margin of nearly 45,000 votes.

I have faith in god and no one else," he said, when asked about the trends.

Election results LIVE: Singer Maithili Thakur is inching closer to winning the Alinagar Assembly constituency. While she has already claimed victory on the seat, her lead just widened to 11,000 votes, as per ECI data. She was earlier leading by 8,000-9,000 votes.
