Former Himachal MLA’s nephew assaulted in Baddi

Earlier, the MLA’s cousin Harjinder Pal was murdered in Baddi in the first week of May.

A month after former Doon Congress MLA Ram Kumar Chaudhary’s cousin was murdered, six men assaulted his nephew on Wednesday night in Baddi in Himachal Pradesh.

Additional superintendent of police (ASP) Naresh Kumar said, “Around 11:30 last night, Ram Kumar’s nephew Sohan Singh Kundlas and his three friends were attacked by unidentified men on their way back home.”

The victim also alleged that the men fired in the air.

The ASP said, “Sohan and his friends sustained injuries and were taken to the community health centre.”

A case under Section 307 (attempt to murder), 148 (rioting) and 34 (crime committed by more than one person with common intention) was registered by the police against unidentified persons.

The ASP said, “We are probing the case from all angles.”
