Rahman-led BNP secured the majority of votes as Bangadesh went to the polls for the first time since the 2024 student uprising toppled the Sheikh Hasina government.
The Bangladesh Nationalist Party (BNP) is headed for a decisive victory. As counting nears completion, BNP and its allies have secured 177 seats so far in the ongoing parliamentary vote count. A total of 237 constituencies have been completed, while counting is still underway in the remaining 62 seats.
Meanwhile, Jamaat-e-Islami and its allies have secured 53 constituencies, according to the latest available figures.
