Kerala: 15 stores gutted after inferno rips through commercial street in Kozikhode
A major fire broke out at S.M. Street located in Kerala’s Kozikhode on Wednesday which is also a biggest commercial street and is popularly known as Mittai Theruvu.

A major fire broke out at S.M. Street located in Kerala’s Kozikhode on Wednesday which is also a biggest commercial street and is popularly known as Mittai Theruvu.
The fire reportedly broke out in a textile shop around 11:30 a.m., following which approximately 15 shops were gutted.
As many as 10 fire tenders were rushed to the spot to douse the flames and efforts were made to control the flames from spreading out in the streets which had restaurants.
No causalities have been reported yet.
