Currently, the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command, Tripathi's extensive naval experience and leadership background make him well-suited for the role. Vice Admiral Su Singh, the current Vice Chief, will take over as the Flag Officer Commanding-in-Chief of the Western Naval Command.
