Republic Day 2023: Parade timings and where to watch live telecast
Republic Day 2023: The parade will begin at 10 am which will be broadcast live on state-run channels - Doordarshan and Sansad TV. Radio listeners will be able to hear it live too.
India is gearing up to celebrate the 74th Republic Day on Thursday with great enthusiasm. President Draupadi Murmu will unfurl the national flag on the recently unveiled Kartavaya Path, formerly known as Rajpath, where a grand parade will be held. Every year, millions across the country witness the rich tradition, cultural heritage, and spectacle of nation’s progress and achievements on their television sets. This year's Republic Day celebration is themed around ‘Jan-Bhagidari (participation of people)'.

The chief guest of the event is Egypt President Abdel Fattah Al Sisi. A 120-member Egyptian contingent will also participate in the parade. The Republic Day celebration is scheduled to begin at 7:30 am, and the unfurling of flag will be followed by the national anthem.

The parade will begin from Vijay Chowk and move towards Red Fort via Kartavaya Path, C-Hexagon, roundabout statue of Netaji Subhash Chandra Bose, Tilak Marg, Bahadur Shah Zafar Marg and Netaji Subhash Marg.
As per the tradition, President Murmu will address the nation on the evening of January 25, and PM Modi will extend his greetings to the nations on the morning of January 26.

All the three wings of the Indian defence forces - Army, Navy, and Air Force - will march alongside their regiments and bands will perform in the parade followed by the presentation of state tableaux displaying their culture.
Republic Day is celebrated to commemorate the adoption of the Indian Constitution. The Indian Constitution was adopted on January 26, 1950.
