Two girls die in landslide in Kishtwar

The two girls had gone with two others to a forest in Sigdi area to collect firewood when the landslide hit them.

Two minor girls died after they were buried under a landslide in remote Barnari Sigdi area of Mughal Maidan in Kishtwar district on Saturday evening.

Kishtwar SSP, Sandeep Wazir told HT that the girls Sameena Bano (15) and Bega Bano (15) had gone to collect firewood from a forest along with two other girls around 5 pm.

While the two victims came under the landslide, the other two escaped unhurt as they were on the other side of a nullah.
