Vishwa Hindu Parishad (VHP) will be organising ‘Akhand Bharat Sankalp Diwas’ in different parts of country on August 14 to give an impetus to its dream of undivided India of the pre-Independence era.
In Allahabad, the occasion will be marked by the maiden visit of newly appointed international secretary general
of the Parishad Milind Parande.
He is likely to announce VHP’s agenda for Kumbh Mela as well as its role in the 2019 Lok Sabha polls at a meeting to be held at Sangeet Samiti auditorium.
According to VHP’s office bearer Ashwini Mishra, the programme will organised on August 14 — the day of Partition.
“The motive behind organising the programme is to apprise the new generation that ‘Akhand Bharat’ or undivided India is still not free as some parts of it yet existed in a different name and rule,” he added.
“The new international general secretary of the Parishad on his maiden visit is expected to speak about the role of Parishad in organising Kumbh Mela. Besides, he may also make major announcements regarding VHP’s stand for the ruling Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) in the Lok Sabha election. Around 5,000 leaders and activists of the Parishad are expected to participate in the day-long programme,” Mishra said.
As per VHP’s Kashi pranth sangathan mantri Mukesh ji, the issue of Ram temple will be raised during the ‘Sant Samagam’ at Kumbh. He added that the ruling party will have to answer the same as four years had passed and no progress was made in this context.
“As of now, I will just say that the VHP has decided its role in forthcoming Lok Sabha polls and now it is up to the BJP leadership to take a call. Rest the details of our plan will be declared by international secretary general of the Parishad Milind Parande during his visit to Allahabad on August 14,” he added.
