Hardik Pandya’s stunning innings on Sunday not only impressed the Indian cricket fans and drew praise from the Sri Lankan legend Kumar Sangakkara, but India cricket team captain Virat Kohli too seemed swayed with the all-rounder’s exploits against Australia. (HIGHLIGHTS)

Elated with the all-rounder’s heroics during the 3rd ODI at the Holkar Stadium in Indore, Virat Kohli took to social media and posted a video praising Hardik Pandya.

With their five-wicket win in the third ODI, India sealed their five-match series by winning all three matches so far. These wins also propelled the Indian cricket team to the world No 1 spot, displacing South Africa.

Post India’s win, a pumped-up Virat Kohli posted a video on his social media pages with Pandya in the frame.

In the video, Kohli pointed towards Pandya and said, “… the man of the moment… the man of the match. Promoted to No 4 and he delivers! How do you feel?”

Pandya replied, “Feels pretty good, I got the opportunity to bat at No 4.”

Kohli then started a conversation around having an IPL contract, to which Hardik Pandya replied that he already has one. The video also showed Kohli having some fun with KL Rahul while music played in the background.

Virat Kohli then turned serious and said, “No… but really good. We are very happy with the series win, and this guy has done bloody well in two games for us. Superstar!”

The fourth ODI will be played on Thursday at the M Chinnaswamy Stadium in Bengaluru, while the fifth and final game will be on Sunday at Nagpur. India and Australia will then clash in a three-match T20I series starting October 7.
