2 labourers killed in collapse of wall in Jalandhar

Two labourers were killed and one injured when wall of old godown in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar locality of the city callpsed.

Two labourers were killed and one injured when wall of old godown in Shaheed Bhagat Singh Nagar locality of the city callpsed on Tuesday.

Incident occurred, when labourers were working in the godown and suddenly one of the wall collapse and deceased identified as Sukhbir (23) and Balkishan (35) did not get any opportunity to escape and buried under the debris, police sources said adding that another labourer identified as Khushi Ram (25) was seriously injured in the incident and was rushed to a nearby hospital.

Dead bodies were sent to the local hospital for post-mortem and investigation was on whether the accident occurred due to the negligence of the owner of the godown, police added.
