The incident took place on Sunday, when the complainants Isaac, who is a professional footballer, and Aliyu were walking past a locality in Dwarka mor, where they live as tenants, and a child allegedly threw a water balloon from a balcony.

They scolded the child and went home, following which a group of around 10 men allegedly barged inside and attacked them with sticks. Isaac suffered severe injuries and was rushed to a hospital, police said.

The police have registered a case and a team has been formed. However, no accused have been arrested yet.
