38 Sri lankan fishermen arrested

Thirty eight Sri Lankan fishermen were arrested on Saturday by Indian Coast guard personnel while fishing in the Indian economic zone off Nagapattinam coast, police said.

The seven mechanised fishing boats in which they ventured to sea were seized, offiicials said, adding that the fishermen would be handed over soon to police at Chennai.
