8 killed, 20 injured as jeep runs over crowd
Eight people were killed and 20 others injured when a speeding jeep ran over a crowd watching Ramlila in Kouria Bazar, a police official said today.

Eight people were killed and 20 others injured when a speeding jeep ran over a crowd watching Ramlila in Kouria Bazar, a police official said on Friday.
The jeep ran over the crowd on late Thursday night, district SP Bhagwn Swaroop said. The driver of the vehicle fled from the spot.
The deceased were identified as Kamla Prasad (50), Anand Verma (17), Dinesh Verma (25), Dinesh Yadav (20), Ziledar Verma (32), Om Prakash Yadav (45), Kaushal Singh (35) and Umesh Yadav (32).
The injured were admitted to a hospital where the condition of four is stated to be serious, he said.
