Ancient Kulwageshwari temple in Kashmir to get a facelift

To facelift the 400-year-old Kulwageshwari temple in south Kashmir, Rs one crore has been allocated by the Jammu and Kashmir government, Housing and Urban Development officials said today.

To facelift the 400-year-old Kulwageshwari temple in south Kashmir, Rs one crore has been allocated by the Jammu and Kashmir government, Housing and Urban Development officials said on Monday.

The ancient temple in Kulgam district will be face lifted and its infrastructure is set to be upgraded, which will cost Rs one crore and work in this direction is in progress, they told PTI.

Rs 31.71 lakh has been allocated to construct a community hall and a community kitchen for the Kulwageshwari temple, while Rs 19.21 lakh was given to construct six springs at the temple complex, authorities said.

Housing facilities inside the complex will also be renovated for which Rs 8.71 lakh has been allocated, they added.
