Lucknow Development Authority officials, it maybe recalled, were compelled to revise the relocation plan after an Intermediate College in the area belonging to a powerful relative of an employee in the chief minister’s camp office came into their scheme of things. It was because of this change in the plan that the UP Power Corporation bosses had expressed their reluctance to accept the proposal. But they were later persuaded by the LDA to agree to the deal as the move after all involved expansion of a park that was the CM’s baby.

“We have given plots each measuring 90 square metre in Sector-6 of Gomti Nagar Extension to all the seven people, who are being dislodged,” said the LDA executive engineer supervising the work. He said apart from being given compensation against their respective structure as per PWD schedule for the same, the cost of 75 square metre of each evacuee would be adjusted in the 90 square metre plot that was being given to them by the LDA. He said the physical possession of the 10-acre chunk would soon be handed over to the UP Power Corporation bosses.
