Baby killed, 21 injured in bus accident on J-K highway

A baby was killed and 21 others were injured on Wednesday when a bus in which they were travelling fell into a gorge on national highway near Nagrota, about 15-kms from Jammu, police said.

The passenger bus, on way from Jammu to Srinagar, skidded off the road and fell into the gorge while negotiating a curve in the early hours on Wednesday, they said.

The six-month-old child, identified as Sameer from Oria in Uttar Pradesh, was killed on the spot, they said adding the injured were admitted to a nearby government hospital.
