A youth stabbed a girl to death before committing suicide by consuming poison today at Piprahi village under Uchkagaon police station in Gopalganj district, the police said.

The youth was identified as Deepak Kumar Pandey (22), while the girl, Deepak's neighbour, was Neetu Pandey (18).

An investigation was on to find out the reason behind the incident, the sources said.

The bodies have been sent for post-mortem.
