Talking to newspersons he accused the UPA Government of pursuing faulty policies, which are responsible for growing terrorism and naxalism in the country.

The red terror has spread in 15 states from Uttranchal to Haryana, he decried. When asked about anti-Naxal Salwa Judum movement in Chhattisgarh, the BJP leader parried a direct reply. “I have heard from Chhattisgarh Chief Minister Dr Raman Singh that it is a good movement”, he remarked.

He said naxalism could not be effectively countered without assistance from the Central Government. Goel also blasted the UPA Government for failing to rein-in spiraling prices of essential commodities.

He said he had met the President of India Dr A P J Abdul Kalam to draw his attention towards the situation as to how trading of essential commodities and agriculture produce on speculative transaction allowed under multi- commodity exchange system had resulted in price escalation. He demanded the exchange should be regulated to control the prices.

He said the Left parties were not concerned with price rise. They showed green flag inside meetings with UPA and red flag outside, he quipped.

He condemned the lathi-charge on doctors at AIIMS and said the UPA government was politicising the leading medical institute’s governing body.
