The body of a teenaged girl was on Saturday found hanging at her house at Thudiyalur on the city outskirts, police said.

The body of a teenaged girl was on Saturday found hanging at her house at Thudiyalur on the city outskirts, police said.
The 16-year old girl, studying for plus-two, reportedly had a love affair with a 24-year-old man, which was objected to by her grandmother, with whom the girl was staying, police said.
Meanwhile, the man, who was reportedly present in the house on Friday night, was taken into custody for interrogation, police said.
Investigations are on to ascertain whether this is a case of suicide or a murder, they said.
Senior police officials, including Superintendent of Police, N Kannan visited the house.
