Four armed men allegedly attacked a businessman and looted his car.

The incident took place around 8.30pm on Sunday when the victim Pradeep Kumar (35), a resident of Rail Vihar Apartments in Sector 45 under the Surajkund police station area, had gone in his car to Old Faridabad market for shopping, police said.

While driving towards his residence, Kumar heard some noise from the rear side of the car and stopped.

As soon as he stopped, four men armed with knives and pistols appeared before him and pushed him on the back seat. They, then, drove towards Agra, police said.
When Kumar started crying, the men attacked him on the head with knives and dumped him on Mathura Road near Sector 12. The victim, then, approached a nearby dhaba and some people informed the PCR.

Police personnel from the Old Faridabad station took Kumar to a private hospital.

"We have registered a case of loot and launched a hunt to trace the accused," said Vijay Kumar, SHO of Old Faridabad police station, adding that they are trying to find the victim's car.

The victim works in a spare-part manufacturing unit in Noida.
