Capital's nursing student commits suicide

A resident of Najafgarh, Jyoti was depressed for some time as she had failed in some papers, said sources.

An 18-year-old nursing undergraduate of Moolchand Hospital in South Delhi allegedly committed suicide by jumping from her hostel building early on Saturday.

Jyoti, a first year student of Nursing in Moolchand Hospital, jumped from the 7th floor of the Nurses Hostel at about 4.30 am, according to sources.

A resident of Najafgarh, Jyoti was depressed for some time as she had failed in three of the papers of her first year exams, sources added.

In her suicide note, she said she was feeling low as she had failed her exams and was taking the extreme step as she did not want to continue in the same class.
