Centre asks J&K Govt to verify Al-Qaeda claims

The Centre asked the state Govt to check the veracity of reports that international terror network has set up its unit in the state.

The Centre on Friday asked the Jammu and Kashmir government to check the veracity of reports that international terror network Al-Qaeda's has set up its unit in the state.

The state police have been asked to do the voice test of the recorded phone message to a local news agency from a man who had identified himself as the head of the Indian network of Al-Qaeda, Home Ministry sources said.
