Chikungunya case reported in Delhi

The MCD said two cases of the disease had been reported in Delhi in the past one month, reports, Vidya Krishnan.

One person was admitted at the Moolchand Hospital with suspected symptoms of Chikungunya. The MCD said two cases of the disease had been reported in Delhi in the past one month.

Dr NK Yadav, Municipal Health Officer, the National Institute of Communicable Diseases, said cases of similar infections were also being reported in the city but they were not of alarming proportion. Doctors at Moolchand said the patient under treatment was stable.

“He has clinical symptoms of chikungunya. His reports will be ready on Saturday,” said Dr KK Agarwal.
