Police said the Tavera skidded off the road when the tyre of the Honda City behind it burst. The Tavera went on to hit roadside trees, police said.

Local residents and police rushed to the spot after cries for help. They pulled out the injured from the car and took them to the Palwal Hospital.

Some of the injured were later referred to the BK Hospital. Sam, 24, however, died on way.

“His body has been kept in the mortuary of the Palwal Hospital,” station house officer Surinder Singh said, adding, “In all, six Chinese nationals were in the ill-fated vehicle, besides the driver, a local resident who received minor injuries.”
