CISF constable Naresh Kumar, posted at the Rourkela Steel Plant, fired at sub-inspector CS Mishra after a heated argument, DSP Rama Panda said. He also injured three others when they tried to stop him. Naresh then committed suicide by shooting himself.
In the other incident at Karipani colliery area of Central Coalfields Limited in Bokaro district, CISF constable Shiv Charan Singh shot dead his senior after a verbal duel. “Singh protested head constable L Munda’s order to report for duty on Monday morning after being back from a night shift,” DIG, Police (CISF), Ved Prakash said. Singh then shot and injured himself.
On January 23, six Assam Rifles men were shot dead by a colleague in Manipur in one of the worst fratricidal killings involving security men.
