City celebrates Guru Purnima

LAKHS OF disciples worshipped their gurus at ashrams and maths (monasteries) on the occasion of Guru Purnima here on Tuesday. Several functions were organised at Kinaram Ashram, Garwaghat Ashram, the Parav-based Awdhoot Bhagwan Ram Kushth Sewa Ashram, Ram Janki Math, Sumeroo Peeth, Dharm Sangh, Shri Vidya Math, Satuababa Ashram, Kabir Math, Bhuma Math and many other temples and ashrams.

Several functions were organised at Kinaram Ashram, Garwaghat Ashram, the Parav-based Awdhoot Bhagwan Ram Kushth Sewa Ashram, Ram Janki Math, Sumeroo Peeth, Dharm Sangh, Shri Vidya Math, Satuababa Ashram, Kabir Math, Bhuma Math and many other temples and ashrams.

The Aghoracharya Baba Keenaram Aghor Shodh and Sewa Sansthan organised a function to mark the festival at Kinaram Ashram in Shivala area.

Math and ashrams were decorated with flowers on the occasion. Makeshift shops of flowers, sweets and other items of worship were set up.

VIPs and foreign disciples also paid obeisance to their gurus. Swings were installed in Ravindrapuri Colony.. A large number of devotees, including rural folk, reached the Garwa Ghat Ashram in Ramna and obtained the blessings of the guru.

The Shri Sarweshwari Sansthan Devsthanam organised several functions at Awdhoot Bhagwan Ram Kushth Seva Ashram in Parav. The Sarweshwari Dhwajatolan and the ‘Saphl Yoni’ recital were held on Tuesday morning.

These were followed by worship of the guru. Discourses were delivered in the evening.

A group recital will be performed on Wednesday. It will be followed by an annual convention of the Sarweshwari Samooh.
