Cong wins 6 seats in Delhi

The Congress has won six of Delhi's seven parliamentary seats.The only exception is VK Malhotra (BJP) who defeated RK Anand of the Congress in South Delhi.

The exception is VK Malhotra of the Bharatiya Janata Party (BJP) who defeated RK Anand of the Congress in South Delhi.

Among the winners is Sandeep Dikshit, son of Chief Minister Sheila Dikshit, who will enter Parliament for the first time after winning from East Delhi.

Congress spokesperson Kapil Sibal beat popular television actress Smruti Irani in Chandni Chowk and Ajay Maken turned giant killer by defeating Tourism Minister Jagmohan in New Delhi.

Other winners are Krishna Tirath (Karol Bagh), Jagdish Tytler (Delhi Sadar) and Sajjan Kumar (Outer Delhi).
