Congress releases list of candidates for polls

Chief Minister Tarun Gogoi, PCC Chief Bhubaneswar Kalita, senior Ministers Bhumidhar Barman and Himanta Biswa Sharma and a number of sitting MLAs figure in the list of 120 candidates released by the AICC for the next month's assembly elections in Assam.

Announcing the list, CWC member Oscar Fernandes said it was finalised after two rounds of discussions in the Central Election Committee presided over by party chief Sonia Gandhi.
