Tension mounted in curfew-bound Ratlam town on Sunday even as police launched a massive manhunt to nab the killers of a Bajrang Dal activist and his domestic help, who were gunned down in broad daylight on Saturday.
Security personnel fanned out across the township, around 120 km from Indore, during the funeral of Bajrang Dal activist Kapil Rathore, 38, and his domestic help Pukhraj (40). Kapil’s younger brother Deepak was also injured.
The two were gunned down by unidentified assailants barely a few hours after Congress legislator Yasmin Sherani was shot at and seriously injured. Police said that miscreants pelted-stones at minority-dominated areas during the funeral procession of the two slain persons.
