Deputy Commissioner and Returning Officer, Naveen Raj Singh on Monday directed the Assistant Commissioner, Hassan, to issue the notice to both the leaders for 'violating secrecy' while voting.
On April 30, during the second phase of polling, the two leaders, accompanied by their family members, cast their votes at a polling booth at Paduvalahippe in Holenarasipur taluk.
Devegowda exercised his franchise along with his wife Chennamma while Revanna cast his vote with his wife at Bhavani.
Seeing the footage in the visual media, the Deputy Commissioner directed the Assistant Commissioner to issue notice to both the leaders.
According to official sources, the polling officer on duty did not bring this to the notice of senior officers.
