Sports Bar, at Lower Parel is known for treating its clients to such tempting offers. Regulars cannot stop raving about the unlimited biryani and beer offer that they had introduced for a meagre Rs 300. Their present offer is equally exciting.
The beer buffet package at Rs 549, will fetch you four vegetarian salads, 1 non-veg salad, a soup, four vegetarian main courses, 2 non-vegetarian main courses, raita, dal, rice, accompaniments like papad and pickle, a live counter and a dessert counter stuffed with fruit platters, cake, mousse, chocolate fountain and more. And of course, unlimited Kingfisher draught beer. Teetotalers can substitute it with unlimited aerated beverages.
Rude Lounge at Belapur, Navi Mumbai probably has the best deal for alcohol. At Rs 599, it offers unlimited drinks — one can choose from whiskey (Royal Challenge, Blenders Pride, Signature), Vodka and draught beer — from 11 am to 7 pm. Two vegetarian and non-vegetarian starters along with either biryani or fried rice is also part of the offer.
“By the end of the evening we have to escort some enthusiasts back to their vehicles,” says Vipin Singh, restaurant manager. “There are times when the scheme leaves a dent in our cash registers. But it works in the long run. We have barely spent any money on advertisements,” says Singh who advocates word-of-mouth publicity as the best medium. “People may not believe us when we sing our own praises but when a group of people tell others that we have a great scheme lined up, they’ll want to check it out,” he reasons.
Derby Café and Lounge, at Khar is luring its clients with unlimited cocktails and starters for Rs 499.
You can pick the starters of your choice from the menu. The offer is valid through the week and on weekends too. Devilled cheesy mushrooms, peppery hot fish cakes, herbed chicken supreme, buffalo wings and the like, teamed with cocktails like Cosmopolitan (Rs 300), Flavoured Caprioshka, Mojito, Apple Tini (Rs 275)... Take your pick.
Cheers to that
Four Point by Sheraton, Vashi has introduced a buffet meal for Rs 550. The meal serves nine salads, a variety of cheeses, two soups, a live pasta counter, a live Asian food counter and continental fare. The main courses have six non-vegetarian and eight to 10 vegetarian items with seven to eight desserts. All this and unlimited beer and wine too.
“Generating footfalls is the key to a successful restaurant,” says Debdeep Chakraborty of Four Point. The hotel, which is only a few months old in the city, had conducted a market research to introduce an eye-popping offer to its potential customers. “The research revealed that the key is to offer an item that people are used to paying for, even for the smallest quantity, and give them unlimited access to the same,” says Chakraborty. Cheers to that.
