A letter signed by 226 farmers read: "We want adequate compensation in return of our land including a job for every family member and civic amenities for the villages."
The Maharashtra state government had issued a notice to the villagers in March this year asking them to put forth their objections to the project but at a meeting called by the Collector they had refused dialogue on the matter.
Issues between them and the company management had subsequently been resolved, Saturday's letter said.
