Flying Officer floats loot story to hide attack

But, after investigation, the police unraveled the fake loot case and negotiations were on to bring about an amicable settlement between the warring parties.
Sources said Shivpujan son of Flying Officer Chandrapal Singh Sengar, had lent Rs 2,500 to Veeru, a neighbour. On Wednesday, Shivpujan went to the house of Viru and when he failed to get the borrowed amount, he thrashed Veeru.
Annoyed over the attack, Veeru along with his friends Vicky and Vipin reached Shivpujan’s house. But the trio was battered at the Flying Officer’s place.
Police said the IAF officer, who was on leave, got panicked and scattered the objects kept in his house and informed the police that three youths had robbed his house and fled with valuables and cash worth Rs 2 lakh.
Initially, police was in a dilemma over the issue and senior police officers reached the spot. They came to know about the concocted story of looting only when the trio reached the residence of the Flying Officer.
The youths minutely about the incident and the police took all of them including the Flying Officer to the Chakeri police station where a negotiation was going on to reach a settlement.
However, talking to HT SHO, Chakeri Kamrul Hasan said, “There was a dispute between Shivpujan and Veeru over borrowed money and that led to filing of looting case. Now, the police are trying to bring about a settlement between the two sides.”
