The prayers would be recited by prominent US-based Hindu priest Rajan Zed in Oregon House of Representatives, Colorado General Assembly, Indiana State Senate and Oregon State Senate.

Zed, the president of Universal Society of Hinduism, has earlier recited the historic first Hindu prayers in the US Senate as well as in a number of other State legislatures.

In a statement, Zed said the prayers would be delivered at State Capitols in Salem, Oregon (January 28 and 29), Denver, Colorado (February 17), and Indianapolis, Indiana (February 19).

After first reciting in Sanskrit, he will then read out the English translation of the prayer.
