THE SECOND and final day of the third marketing fair ‘Smart Utsaha-2006’ of the Indian Institute of Management-Indore (IIM-I) was filled with fun events for the enjoyment and participation of families. A large crowd attended the fair at Abhay Prashal today.
IIM-I media cell in-charge Shiv Dewan and members Hushidhar A Kharas, Shubhashree Chatterjee and Shraddha Shrimal said that the fair presented a chance to enjoy a weekend family outing promising not only to be memorable but also offering a chance to win fabulous prizes.
The students of IIM-Indore had designed the events with an aim to challenge the intellect, while making the competition fun to participate in, with something on offer for every age group.
The first event today was a contest for children - a talent hunt for everyone under 10 years of age. The contest was an open criteria event in which the participant could sing, dance, mimic or just look cute! Everyone got a gift regardless of the winner, for having the nerve to declare on stage what one was good at.
The gifts included CDs of popular songs and cartoons, pens, small toys and a variety of other items of children’s interest.
The next event was the search for ideal couple of the City. The contest winner was offered the chance to take his better half to Mumbai for a fun-filled trip. The search for the most exciting and tightly knit family began at 7 pm with Hotel Infiniti Family Contest.
Exciting games testing coordination, communication and trust decided the best family, winning a dinner at Hotel Infiniti to celebrate the recognition of their happiness.
The personality event ‘Mr and Miss Smart’ was held with the objective of identifying the single most accomplished man and woman of the city. The event tested the poise, wit, charm and personality of the contestants.
The winners of yesterday’s events were also announced today. Samir Khanna won the open category talent show for his singing, Paresh with his mimicry was the runner-up and Ankita was adjudged third for her dance performance in the event.
The team of Saurabh and Vivek Jain won the ‘antakshri’ contest, while the team of Anuradha Soni and Sonal Verma was declared the runners-up.
