Girl commits suicide over harassment by teacher

Apparently upset after being "harassed" by her maths teacher, a 15-year-old girl student allegedly committed suicide in Neem-ka-thana area of Rajasthan's Sikar district, police said.

Varsha Bairwa, a class X student, who hanged herself on Thursday, died yesterday at SMS hospital, the police said.

Mahesh Jangid, the maths teacher, allegedly used to force Bairwa to stay in classroom after school gets over else he would
fail her in exams, Circle officer of Neem ka Thana Samandar Singh said.

A case has been registered against Jangid and his friend Nandkishore, he said.

No arrest has besen made so far and investigation in the matter is on, he said.
