Gold ornaments worth about rupees five lakh were stolen in a burglary committed in a jewellary shop in Kanpur late on Friday night, police said.

According to reports some unidentified burglars entered the jewellary shop after breaking open the back wall of the shop and stole jewellary worth about rupees five lakh.
A report of this theft was lodged with Gwaltoli police on Saturday. No arrest has been made so far in this connection and the police is investigating the case, they said.
