A veteran politician of Madhya Pradesh, Hajarilal Raghuvanshi is today one of big leaders in the state. Being active in politics right since independence in 1947, he has seen many ups and downs in the state politics.
Born on July, 30, 1930 at village Chatarkheda in Hoshangabad district, he is a Matriculate. A farmer by profession, he has held various offices in Gram Panchayat, Mandal, Congress committee, Municipality and Mandi committee before first being elected as MLA in 1977 from Seoni Malwa constituency.
Inducted as a Minister of State in the Council of Ministers led by Arjun Singh in 1980. Again elected to the MP Legislative Assembly in 1993 and 1998 and was inducted as Cabinet Minister in the Cabinet of Digvijay Singh.
