He outperformed 123 Google student ambassadors in the country and was among the 1,000 Google student ambassadors from 65 countries chosen by the company to act as liaisons between the company and their institutions.

According to Google, these ambassadors will learn about innovative Google products and programmes, plan and host fun events on campuses, act as a campus contact for Google teams and help Google better understand each institution’s culture.

Pancilly had formed a Google student club to popularise the application. Outsmarting the ambassadors from several institutions of the country, Pancilly’s performance was weighed on the dynamics of quantity and quality contribution made by the ambassadors.

“Our performance was rated on the basis of the number of events we had organised, how successful they had been and the amount of interest they generated,” he said.

Pancilly told HT, “After being chosen as Google student ambassadors, we had a three-day summit at Goa, where we interacted and basically got to know the culture of Google. It was fun and interesting to interact with around 123 ambassadors from across the country.”
