Rejecting Congress' charges of "bogus voting", he alleged Congress workers were distributing certain poll slips to defame BJP and said he had complained to police seeking a probe on the issue.

"Congress itself has stage-managed the whole episode to create trouble to wean away voters here when they know the situation is favourable to our party," Khurana said after casting his ballot at a polling booth in Kirti Nagar area.

Khurana, who has been elected 10 out of 11 times from the area, said his rival contestent Alka Lamba of Congress "knows she enjoys no local support" in the constituency.

"She could not even get local polling agents and had to hire them from Panipat and Himachal Pradesh," he claimed.

On prepoll projections favouring Congress, Khurana said these would be "reversed when results come out" and "BJP would gain comfortable majority".
