Local MLA?s silence sparks ?debate?
THE SILENCE maintained by the local MLA Dr RMD Agrawal during election campaign has left the people guessing.
It is a subject of discussion among the people and every one has own arguments over it.
The civic body election before the assembly election has kept Dr Agrawal in a fix and has restricted him from taking active part in the election campaign.
It is noteworthy that Dr Agrawal has raised serious objections over the low quality of the construction work carried out by Municipal Corporation and his intervention was recognised by the people.
It may be recalled here that on the complaint of Dr Agrawal against municipal commissioner Onkar Nath for his alleged insensitive attitude in combating jaundice, which has taken shape of an epidemic two-year earlier, the state government suspended Onkar Nath.
The alleged differences between local MP of BJP Yogi Adityanath and Dr Agrawal has widened in recent days.
The appreciation of sincerity of Dr Agrawal by chief minister Mulayam Singh Yadav has added more fuel to the fire. Though Dr Agrawal has denied any differences with Adityanath but the souring relations between them not remain hidden.
While Adityanath has taken the rein of election campaigner BJP candidate Anju Chaudhary and was addressing public meeting in her favour.
Dr Agrawal has yet not issued any statement on civic election.
The remarks of political experts regarding Dr Agrawal was also significant.
Coordinator of People’s Forum Prof RM Mani Tripathi said that silence of Dr Agrawal is a part of his strategy as he has to contest assembly election.
The support to any candidates contesting the election for mayoral post by Dr Agrawal may cast its shadow over the prospect of his election as he has supporters in all political parties.
His cordial relation with senior SP leaders and his personal relation in BJP and saffron forces has left him in a dilemma or silence. All said and done, it may cause political loss to him.
