MNS chief Raj Thackeray said: “The party’s image has taken a beating due to the series of interviews in the last two days and hence I have decided to throw Mahajan out.”

In his interviews, Mahajan, one of the founder members of the MNS and its vice-president had attacked the coterie surrounding Raj Thackeray for promoting indiscipline in the party.

Mahajan announced his decision on Monday. He said: “Uddhav has supported me in my time of crisis and I will serve the party honestly.”
