The fair will be attended by tribals of Gujarat, Madhya Pradesh and Rajasthan in the Dungarpur district of Rajasthan. Over five lakh tribals gather every year from these states for the annual national fair.
The tribals regard the Som-Mahi confluence at par with the holy Ganga and dedicate the mortal remains of their near and dear ones as per their rituals.
The Dungarpur and Banswara district administration have made elaborate arrangements for the fair.
