Manipur has the North-East's best culinary repertoire, but there is just one item that's close to what the local people eat. The menu has more of Hong Kong in it, than of Manipur. But it has its bright spots, like the fish, pork, chicken and vegetarian thalis, with generous servings of steamed rice, Dal Ooti, mixed vegetables and Eronba (fresh or fermented bamboo shoots, potatoes, beans and a paste of fermented dry fish mashed with chilly). Most visitors to Dilli Haat, though, go to this stall for its momos and noodles that go best with the Peking Special Chicken or the Chilli Chicken.
