They came, they met and celebrated their virtual friendship. Last week, Twitter-users in the Capital gathered at a hotel in Central Delhi to celebrate the third annual Twestival.

They came, they met and celebrated their virtual friendship. Last week, Twitter-users in the Capital gathered at a hotel in Central Delhi to celebrate the third annual Twestival.

Pulkit Chaturvedi, 16, was the youngest Twitter-user at the event. A Class XI student in Bharatiya Vidya Bhawan, Chaturvedi says, “It was a perfect occasion for socialising and for charity.” He had volunteered to work with the organisers because Twestival had tied up with charities, such as the Give India Foundation and Delhi NGO Protsahan.

Interestingly, participants were tweeting live from the venue. “People were doing so many things — tweeting, watching the match and meeting people,” says Aditya, a 17-year-old micro-blogger.
