The 17-year-old actress stars in an independent remake of the French film alongside Moore and insists the movie will be "edgy", DigitalSpy reported.

"We're good friends so I think it'll be fun to work with someone you like a lot. It makes it easier. I'm really looking forward to working with her and the French director," Cyrus said.

The 19-year-old star will play the daughter of Moore in the movie, which tells the tale of a woman going through a mid-life crisis.

"I think it's a really cool story. We're shooting it independently so we can do it with exactly the edginess we want."

admits she now wants to focus on acting and stay away from her singing career.

"I would like to continue acting, that's what I really love. Music is a huge part of my life but acting is definitely something that I'm really looking forward to getting more involved in," she said.
