Lalrokhuma, who was addressing a seminar on the awareness of Drugs and HIV conducted jointly by the MZP and the Shalom at Aizawl, capital town of Mizoram, emphasised that the awareness drive must start from the MZP members.

"Every member of the MZP must be able to explain the ill effects of drugs not only to the society but also to every student. Drugs and HIV awareness drive among students is to be the main weapon against the drugs," he said.

H Lalremsiama, secretary of the anti drugs cell of MZP, announced that the anti-drugs cell would conduct an anti-drugs and AIDS awareness rally on May 5, in which two representatives each from 80 schools would participate along with local celebrities.

The anti-drugs cell would officially launch their battle against drugs on May 6, he added.
