Newly married woman commites suicide in Nashik

A 21-year-old woman committed suicide by jumping from a valley in Nashik, police said on Tuesday. The incident occured on Monday, they said.

The incident occured on Monday, they said.

Sheetal Pawar (21), a resident of Khirmani in the district, had gone to visit Saptashringi temple at Nanduri with her husband, they said.

After visiting the temple, the couple were sitting besides a lake after which she rushed to the valley and jumped, they said.

However, the reason behind this extreme step is not unknown, police said adding further investigation is on in the matter.
