Nine killed in two road mishaps in Tripura

At least nine people have been killed and 24 injured in two separate road accidents in Tripura.

At least nine people, including two women, were killed and 24 injured in two separate road accidents in Tripura, police said in Agartala on Sunday.
A police spokesman said three people died on the spot and 18 other passengers were injured on Saturday night when a truck collided with a speeding jeep at Baikhora, 110 km from Agartala.
"Five of the injured later succumbed to their injuries," the police official Nepal Das said.
In another accident, a student was killed and 11 injured on Saturday when a jeep in which they were travelling, fell into a deep gorge at Vangmun, 200 km from Agartala.
